Early this afternoon, Special Judge Jeff Weill ruled against Wayne Self's contest of the November 2019 election for Supervisor District 4.

That leaves Eric Mitchell in office to continue as District 4 Supervisor.

Incumbent Wayne Self was defeated by Eric Mitchell by a 16 vote margin. He had hoped to overturn Mitchell's victory and obtain a new election, but Judge Weill ruled that he should not.

At the Leflore County courthouse this morning, trial continued in the contest from yesterday. All the witness testimony and closing arguments were finished by lunch time.
