Today, the Greenwood Leflore Hospital Board of Trustees held its regular monthly meeting.

According to the financial report provided by CFO Dawne Holmes, the Hospital had an overall operating loss of $828,000 in October.

However, the Hospital recorded an overall total revenue for October of $176,000, due to application of $953,000 from the COVID CARES ACT grant money which is held in reserve.

The cash and cash equivalents burn for October was $2.56 million dollars.

Overall, the problematic financial situation is attributed to a $1.3 million loss in patient revenue for October compared to October, 2019.

A special framed picture signed by many of the medical staff was presented by Dr. Roderick Givens to Gary Marchand in recognition of his service as interim CEO.

The Board went into executive session and excluded the media and the public for 27 minutes.
