Without fanfare, Greenwood Leflore Hospital's Chief Nursing Officer Gloria Boyd has retired.

The Taxpayers Channel learned about the retirement from several sources, but could not find any announcements or mentions of Ms. Boyd's retirement.

Hospital spokesperson Christine Hemphill confirmed Boyd's retirement this afternoon with the following statement:

Gloria Boyd, who formerly served as Chief Nursing Officer, retired from Greenwood Leflore Hospital on Monday, September 27, 2021. Jackie Brownlow, Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, will act as interim Chief Nursing Officer until a permanent Chief Nursing Officer has been named.

Ms. Brownlow has been added to the GLH "leadership team" web page.

At present, Ms. Boyd's future plans are unknown.
