Today, the Greenwood Leflore Hospital Board of Trustees held its regular monthly meeting.
According to the financial report provided by Mrs. Dawne Holmes, the Hospital had an overall loss of $1.29 million in January.
The hospital expenses have been cut $4.2 million for the first 4 months compared to the first four months in the previous year. However, net revenue is down $3.4 million over the same period.
At the end of January, the usable cash reserves, after netting out the deferred revenue and the Medicare short term loan which must be paid back, is $12.6 million. The cash burn for January was $1.9 million.
The Board went into executive session and excluded the media and the public for 55 minutes.
