An explosion rocked the warehouse at the Birdsong peanut processing facility in Greenwood at 8:25 pm this evening. Electric power in various parts of the city and industrial park was interrupted briefly. The fire has greatly expanded, completely engulfing the rear portion of the facility, with flames visible for several miles in the darkness.
