Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board approved the engineer for the Wildwood Gin CDBG project. Court reporter Tootsie Burgoon requested that the Board raise her salary along with other appointed and elected county officials. A long discussion was held regarding the problems of the East Leflore Water Association in collecting its accounts. The Association president Bobbie Peoples has not paid her deliquent water bill in some time. The Board and engineer discussed at length the process of removing the Association president. A new association board member was appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The Board received an update from the architect on the progress being made in the construction of the Business Incubator project.
