Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

A bid was rejected for the renovation of the Old Library due to its being too expensive; a Grenada Boulevard resident appeared to request the abandonment of part of an unused street easement near her home; the Board gave the go-ahead for development of Construction Documents for the justice annex at the new county prison; the final insurance settlement for the fire at the Health Department building was accepted; the Noramec Phone Center proposal for collection of debts owed to the county was accepted; the Board voted to appoint Carlos Palmer to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Judge Blue Neal from the Justice Court.
