This Friday meeting was held to take up the matter of an appeal of the adverse decision rendered against the Board by the Justice Court in the case brought by former Justice Court Judge Larry "Blue" Neal. The Court had previously ordered the Board to pay Mr. Neal $2554 in disputed salary and court costs. The Board took up the matter in executive session, and then voted to take an appeal to County Court. Mr. Wolfe was absent from the meeting on vacation. Mr. Johnson left the room while the vote was being taken. The Board also heard a proposal to replace two 75 ton roof air conditioning units atop the civic center at a cost of over $200,000. The Board voted to extend the year-long "emergency" on this matter so that the units can be purchased without taking competative bids.
