Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council held its monthly dilapidated housing hearings. An abandoned automobile hearing was also reconvened for Walter Leonard, who was given more time to bring his yard and vehicles into compliance. The Council tabled consideration of a request to close the 300 block of Front Street for use by Viking Range Corporation.
