Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council held a dilapidated housing hearing. The Council considered accepting an FAA grant for $259,462 for airport improvements. A resolution to purchase five new trucks was considered. Various Zoning exceptions and budget adjustments were adopted. Support and uniform contracts were approved. The application of George Ellis Jr. to operate a taxi service was approved.
