Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board again considered the question of raising the weight limits on certain county roads to accommodate the proposed corn distribution terminal in the Rising Sun Industrial Park. The Board took up the approval of contracts to provide for transportation of the voting machines and the running of the primaries for the political parties by the county election commission. The Board went forward with the Home Grant inspections which are required by the state. The Board transferred $162.58 to cover the shortfall in the incubator account.
