Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The matter of Carter Gaston's dumping of roofing materials near a neighborhood was tabled for two weeks to give him time to remove the offending waste. Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley introduced himself and offered assistance to the public on utility-related problems. Benjamin Nance requested funding for the Boys and Girls Club at MVSU. The Board granted permission to Gary Fulgham to dynamite beaver dams on private property which are causing water to back up on a county road. The Board authorized applying for credit cards for the supervisors and other officials. The Incubator project and Three Rivers' failure to remit rent payments to the county were discussed.
