Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board received the Land Rolls from Tax Assessor Leroy Ware. The bond issue for road repair and equipment moved forward with no public opposition received. Several community sponsorships were approved. A discussion took place for selecting an engineering firm to work on the new airport control tower project. The Board went into executive session to discuss a dispute with the current management of the county landfill. The Board voted to remove the management's hauling company from off county property at the landfill.
