Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board opened bids on courthouse renovation projects. Several matters relating to the Viking companies were tidied up. Lisa Foy discussed the lighting of the Courthouse for Christmas. Steve Russell presented several items relating to the Road 512 project. The Board considered the tax exemption request from the Exchange Club Youth Baseball Foundation for its ball fields. Appointments to the North Central Railroad Authority were made. A special prosecutor was appointed to handle cases in Justice Court against Robert Moore and Carlos Palmer due to conflicts and recusal by the county prosecutor. The Board approved the interlocal agreement for the drug task force, and approved some employee hires. Approval to purchase some side arm mowers for the road crew was granted. The Board approved the official county road map.
