Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board met with Airport Manager Bardin Redditt to discuss airport-related projects. The Board voted unanimously to begin the process of dissolving the Airport Board. The Board heard again a request to re-open an old closed county road. The Board took up the matter of renewing the lease of the old Howard Brothers building for the Department of Human Services. A resolution honoring Bishop Lee J. Johnson Sr. was adopted. The Board discussed the economic "bailout" proposals and scheduled a special work session for Friday for further discussion.
