Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board handled several cases of dilapidated property. A discussion took place with representatives of the Industrial Foundation regarding a proposed privately-funded study of drainage problems at the Greenwood-Leflore Airport involving GECAS. The problem of collecting garbage at the Delta Apartments was discussed. A letter calling for the reopening of the old C&G railroad line was taken up. A request to assist the county school board in repaving some parking lots was discussed. The budget for the upcoming fiscal year was discussed.
