Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board opened bids on two Home Program construction projects. The contract with Dr. Arnold Smith to demolish the old livestock barn was tabled for further work by the attorney. The purchase of the spec building from the Industrial Foundation was tabled. Several appointments to the North Central Planning and Development board were made. The $3000 fee to attorney Ron Welch was approved for his inspection of the county prison.
