Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board opened bids for the $2.3 million bond sale; NCPDD's La'Keylah White presented several matters relating to the Home Grant and the rehab of the Old Public Library building. The Balkamp building purchase was again discussed. A request from the Civil Air Patrol to place a repeater on the court house tower was approved. The Board approved an application to the Corps of Engineers regarding flooding at Itta Bena and Browning. Several budget amendments were adopted. Some new road employees were approved.
