The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard a request for additional funding for the Humane Society. Dr. Arnold Smith appeared to discuss the demolition of the old Livestock Barn. Several matters from the NCPDD relating to Viking grants were approved. The Board voted to rescind a previous purchase of land from the Industrial Foundation and to substitute a different parcel for purchase.
