Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board discussed closing Road 171. Lee Abraham came before the Board regarding the purchase of some property. The Election Commission appeared to discuss the consent decree in the recent lawsuit regarding poll worker irregularities. Several matters were brought on by NCPDD personnel. Various grant applications were approved. Mr. Ratliff's request for playground equipment in the Schlater park was taken up. The county engineer discussed underwater bridge inspections, bids for construction for the water and sewer district, and proposals for the connector highway between Viking and Hwy 7.
