Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board opened bids for various truck purchases, asphalt, sirens, and a stabilization project. Several employee matters relative to the Juvenile Detention facility were approved. Dynetha Thornton from the Department of Human Services requested that the county take over the appointment of janitorial and security services for their facility. The resolution failed with a tie vote. The Board tabled the approval of the Hospital budget pending some questions Mr. Ratliff had regarding the Hospitalist program.
