The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board held its required public hearing on the upcoming budget and tax levy. The Hospital budget was again considered. Several bids were accepted. The issue of the purchase of the Delta Apartments was discussed. The motion to purchase the complex from HUD was made by Robert Moore and seconded by Preston Ratliff, but failed on a 2-3 vote.
