The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council heard several presentations during public agenda. Dilapidated property matters were also heard. Killebrew & Moss were reappointed as the city auditors. The council approved the purchase of special lighting fixtures for the renovated parking lot. Several matters relating to the city's various insurance policies were discussed.
