Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board dismissed a dilapidated property case against Silas McGee. The Board approved two items relating to the East Leflore Water Association grant. A resolution recommending naming a stretch of Hwy 49 E after Willye B White was adopted. The County Payroll date was changed back to the first day of the month after concerns about legality and the budget were raised by the state auditor's office. Debra Hibbler was appointed to fill the unexpired term of the District 5 Election Commissioner. After discussion, the Airport Board agreement was extended to the end of February. The Greenwood-Leflore County Health Clinic lease was finally approved.
