Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council opened bids for the city's depository. Some dilapidated property matters were handled. Tommy Verdell was appointed to the airport board. Liz Davis was appointed as public defender. A grant of $5000 to Younglife was approved. A variance was issued to allow Delta Electric to erect a telecommunications tower.
