Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

County Court Judge Kevin Adams brought some staffing requests to the Board for the Juvenile Detention Facility. Jim Jackson, Greenwood Leflore Hospital management, sought approval to purchase a clinic in Itta Bena. Several Board members questioned whether the Hospital should share its revenue with the county. Dynetha Thornton appeared to discuss the TANF Work Program and a dispute regarding one of the trainees. NCPDD's Tim Climer brought some matters relating to the fire department and the East Leflore Water and Sewer Association. The letter authorizing the State Auditor pertaining to the 2010 county audit was approved. The Board had to transfer $5000 to the incubator fund to cover its costs.
