Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard from proponents of the GA Ramp demolition/reconstruction project. The issue of the "water hammer" that is tearing up the plumbing at the airport was discussed. The Airport Board is pursuing a solution since they signed a contract to fix the problem in November 2010. Complaints about costly repairs caused by the water hammer were aired. The Board voted to go forward with the GA project. A Bond Refunding for county obligations was approved. The Hospital asked permission to purchase a house on River Road, which was granted. An Executive Session was held to discuss the Balkamp litigation and the sale of certain property.
