Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The council held its monthly meeting on dilapidated properties. It approved a bond refunding issue to refinance several bond issues and notes payable from around 2000. Several pieces of city property were sold to private landowners. A contract for $209,000 was approved to refurbish Baptist Town. Several pieces of equipment and maintenance agreements were approved for the city and the airport.
