Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council held its regular monthly hearing on dilapidated properties. The Council received the school board budget for the 2013-2014 term. Contracts for the HOME program and a railroad sidewalk were approved. Speed bumps were approved in Wards 6 and 7. The Tax Increment Financing Plan was approved.
