Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council held its regular monthly hearing on dilapidated properties. Several committee and board appointments were approved. Resolutions regarding the Milwaukee Tool expansion project and renovation of the Greenwood Police Department building were approved. Two GO Bond issues were advanced forward. Discussion of a possible Movie Theater took place again.
