The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board debated whether to discontinue the Confederate Memorial Day holiday. The Board voted 3-2 to discontinue the holiday, but after the meeting a dispute broke out about what the Board had actually voted to do.
