Running Time 80 min
First Posted on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 9:53 pm
The opening statements were given by Willie Perkins for the plaintiff Sheriel Perkins, and Lem Montgomery for defendant Carolyn McAdams.
Mr. Perkins called City Clerk Nick Joseph as his first witness. Joseph testified about several dozen absentee ballots and applications from the Ward 1 ballot box. He testified regarding various defects and failures to follow election law that Mr. Perkins directed his attention toward.
Additionally, Joseph testified about an absentee ballot from a voter in Ward 7 which was accidentally placed in the Ward 1 ballot box by the City Clerk's staff, and was therefore uncounted at the Ward 1 polling place, because the voter was not listed on the Ward 1 pollbook.
