The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard from the jail consultant. A discussion took place on a tax increase, with several citizens speaking out against it. A contract with the federal government for the use of the incubator to house the headquarters of the airplane crash investigation was approved. The Leflore County school budget was accepted.
