Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board discussed the recent F grade given to the county schools, and whether the mandated consolidation would provide any relief. The Board voted to send a resolution to the Governor expressing concern over the looming consolidation with the Greenwood city school system. The Board discussed a recent incident involving MedStat and the availability of ambulance service in Leflore County.The Board discussed setting up a "fire grading" scheme to help lower the cost of fire insurance in the county. The Board discussed possible raises for county employees.
