The Hospital Board of Trustees held its regular monthly meeting. The meeting ran just over 4 hours.
During an executive session, the Board voted to fire CEO Jim Jackson. The vote was 3 to 2, but the Board did not disclose who cast the three votes to fire Jackson.
The five trustees are Brian Waldrop, Larry Griggs, Freddie White-Johnson, Sammy Foster, and Emma Bell.
Mr. Griggs announced at the end of the meeting that he would not continue to serve on the board once his term expires in May.
