Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

New Salvation Army officers were introduced to the Board. Viking Range asked for the installation of a security gate near their property. The Board discussed the Stroudwater Proposal to evaluate the future of the Hospital. Emma Bell, Anjuan Brown, and Reggie Moore were appointed to the Hospital Task Force. Some dilapidated properties were acted upon. The County Group Health Insurance plan was approved. A discussion took place about collecting the delinquent payments from Itta Bena for solid waste disposal. Security camera installation around the county was discussed. The delinquent garbage bill problem was discussed. Various employee hirings, raises, and transfers were approved.
