The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard presentations from the Airport Board and from the Chamber of Commerce. Tax Assessor Leroy Ware presented objections to the tax rolls, as well as various corrections for approval. The Disallowed Homestead Exemption list was approved. Various leases for county parks were approved. The Board approved the proposal for Stroudwater to assess the hospital for possible sale or lease. A discussion took place regarding repairs needed for the courthouse.
