Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board held the public hearing on the upcoming budget and tax levy. The new budget and levy were approved. Discussions were held regarding new changes in the election law relating to absentee balloting. Naomi Jones presented the need for a new roof for the public library. Delta Mobile Home Park requested help with the grading of roads. The Board approved payment of half the cost for repair to the Claiborne Street Fire Station. Several park leases were approved. Purchase of 6 vehicles for the sheriff department was approved. Payments to the web designer for the new county website were approved. The 2020 census was discussed. Discussion of the mosquito control spraying in the county took place.
