Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council heard a report about roof leaks at the library and requests to provide help paying for repairs. The Council accepted a bid to repair the Claiborne Street Fire Station. The Council went into executive session to hear the Police Chief discuss the uptick in violence in the city. No action was taken.
