The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

Sheriff Ricky Banks requested permission to hire a nurse for the jail. The Board was asked to approve the hiring of a consultant to provide work papers for the 2017 audit. The Board went into executive session to discuss negotiations to rent the Civic Center for an extended period of time to a movie company. The Board instructed the attorneys to work on negotiating a contract.
