Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard a presentation from Angela Curry on the Delta Strong project. A discussion of affordable housing took place. A discussion took place regarding the Greenwood Community Center. John Ray made a presentation about a concert to be held at Florewood Park. The Hospital requested assistance in removing debris. The Board voted to donate surplus county dumpsters to the City of Greenwood. The alarm system at the Juvenile Detention Facility was discussed. An update on the Litter Project was provided by Reginald Moore. Some right of way and leases for the railroad were approved.
