Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board went into Executive Session to discuss the crime situation. No action was taken.

Several tax exemptions were authorized for Heartland Catfish and Blue Ridge Beef.

Representatives from the Greenwood Community Center made a presentation. John Ray, with Just in Time Music, discussed a change of date for his music production. Schlater Mayor Jason Colquett requested assistance with spraying. Sheriff Ricky Banks requested to employ a correctional officer for the county jail. Emergency Director Fred Randle informed the Board of the retirement of Dorothy Ivory as of June 30. Warrants were approved to pay Kirk Auto World and Tractor Supply. The opening of county parks was discussed.
