Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council held its regular monthly hearing on dilapidated properties.

Shun Pearson appeared to discuss the crime wave and violence in the community.

The Council reappointed Fred T. Neely & Company as city auditors and approving its fees and services.

Several resolutions approving telephone and cable fiber access to city street right-of-ways were approved.

A small parcel of property was conveyed to Express Grain Terminals for $1.00.
