Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board carried on the tax roll equalization process with Tax Assessor Leroy Ware. Sheriff Ricky Banks requested to employ two new prison guards for the county jail. The Leflore County Humane Society requested an immediate donation of $10,000 to help hire an additional worker. The community navigator pilot program was discussed. The court house elevator was discussed. An employee pay incentive was discussed. The Future Champions Youth Organization requested a sponsorship of $5000.
