Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council heard from several members of the public regarding a wireless communication proposal, a recycling update, healthcare facilities, and the Stop the Violence Comedy Show.

Software support contracts were approved.

A large number of appointments and re-appointments of various city officials were approved.

Two permit applications for C-Spire to use public right-of-ways to install fiber optic cables were approved.

The Council authorized the sale of a lot located at 121 West Percy Street to Jesse and Pearlena Shavers.
