Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard a presentation from Active Pure Technology. Several requests for support and use of parking lots by civic groups were heard. A warrant for $412,353 to Southgroup for the county's insurance was approved for payment. The Board selected a CPA firm to perform the audit. Discussion took place regarding moving the Confederate monument. Several budget line-item transfers were approved, as was the actual budget for FY2020-2021. The county engineer brought forward several state aid projects for approval, as well as approval to advertise for an elevator, and right-of-way for Suddenlink across Brentwood and Swan Drive.
