Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board proceeded with issuing the $10 million bond issue. NCPDD's John Wiggers requested approval to select the archaeologist to conduct the Cultural Resources Survey for the Sunflower Road Park Improvement Project. A special judge was appointed to hear cases in Justice Court due to conflicts with the elected judges and the parties. The Board approved its regular $5000 donation to support the Christmas Parade. The Board went into executive session to discuss possible litigation. No action was taken.
