Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board went into executive session to discuss the pending opioid litigation that the county is a party to. Various corrections to the tax rolls were approved. Bobby Norwood brought forward a proposal to upgrade the radio for the sirens. The Board took up the question of fish feeders for the lake at Florewood. Garbage signs and agricultural leases were also discussed. An increase in garbage rates was discussed. The disposal of two unclaimed bodies was taken up. The County Engineer brought forward a request to accept yearly bids on various supplies needed to repair county roads and bridges.
