Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard a proposal for an Emmitt Till Statue. An appointment was made to the NCPDD executive board. Ed Hargett presented the quarterly jail report. John Ray of Just in Time Music came to discuss the future dates of his music festivals at Florewood. A resolution honoring Dr. Lusia Harris was adopted. A discussion of personal property and mobile home taxes took place. A proposal for HVAC maintenance at the civic center was approved. The Board went into executive session to discuss personnel matters.
