Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board approved three sets of board minutes for the month of March.

NCPDD planner John Wiggers came before the Board to discuss some grant opportunities.

Lee Hall asked for funding for advertisement on his company Delta Broadcasting.

Sheriff Banks presented requests to hire three correctional officers.

GLH Board of Trustee members Emma Bell and Tracy Shelton came before the Board to describe how they have no access to the hospital's strategic plans. The Board went into executive session to discuss their concerns.

The Ordinance Officer was instructed by the Board to issue citations to an unnamed contractor for trimming trees and not removing the limbs and trimmings as required under county ordinance.

The Board went into executive session again to discuss Sam Abraham's concern that he was unable to access board minutes in the Chancery Clerk's office.
